Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Keswick Heritage Fund?

Any African American with connections to the Keswick Community and/or affiliated with one of the KHF partner churches: Zion Hill Baptist, Union Grove Baptist, Union Run Baptist or Pleasant Plain or St.John are eligible to apply.

What is the deadline to apply?

Deadline for all undergraduate applicants is March 1 2026; no deadline for post graduate applicants, certificate applications or summer scholars.

What is the window for acceptance of applications for undergraduate scholarships?

January 10th - March 1st, 2026

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Application forms will be available through each of the churches, and online at keswickheritagefund.org. Applications will be accepted by mail at P.O, Box 94, Keswick, VA 22947, and by email at keswickheritagefund@gmail.com.

When are scholarship awards announced?

Scholarship awards for high school seniors will be announced in May by direct communication to the applicant.  Scholarship awards for continuing education or certificates will be received throughout the year and announced as received and reviewed.

How are scholarship winners chosen?

The scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Selection Committee.

Are community college programs eligible for scholarship funding?

Yes.

Are graduate school programs eligible for scholarship funding?

Yes.

Are continuing education, career enhancement and career training programs eligible for scholarship funding?

Yes.

Can a person receive a scholarship more than once?

Yes. Previous award winners must complete a new application. Each application is reviewed with additional regard to successful, timely completion of educational activities funded by previous scholarship awards.
